Ohio Trophy Deer Hunts

Guided trophy archery deer hunts in Southeast Ohio. Our properties are located in the big buck region of Athens County Ohio. If you are looking for an opportunity to harvest the buck of a lifetime this is the hunt for you. Our properties are trophy managed and have very limited hunting pressure. All stands are pre-hung and baited for you upon arrival. All stands are located on active deer trails, food sources or near bedding areas. You may also bring your own stand(s) if you don’t want to hunt the pre hung stands. These hunts are perfect for the veteran bow hunter or the beginner. The day before the hunt your guide will show you your hunting area and explain it to you. The next day you will begin hunting and you will hunt your own schedule and use your own vehicle to transport your self to and from the hunting area. The hunts are a full five days in length and lodging is included in the price. The only thing that you will need to provide is your own transportation, licenses and your own food. Lodging is in a beautiful four bedroom two bath home that is located close to all of our properties. The dates and prices are listed below and we will only be offering 8 spots for each of the hunts listed below so they will fill fast. Each hunter is allowed to harvest one buck and one doe each.

A $500 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit is required to reserve your hunt. "No hunts will be reserved without a deposit."

Where in Ohio?
Our Properties are located in Athens County just minutes from Athens Ohio and only an hour an a half from Columbus Ohio. Southeast Ohio is famous for having some of the largest deer in the mid west.

About the Property
We have numerous properties that we trophy manage and are ARCHERY ONLY. We have stands and bait stations on all of our properties for our hunters to utilize. You may also bring your own stand(s) if you wish. Each hunter may harvest one buck and one doe during the five day period. The bucks must be mature 8 pointers or better in order to harvest them. FAIR CHASE NO FENCES.

Lodging
Lodging is included in the price of the hunt in a full efficiencies 4 bedroom/2 bath home. The house has a full kitchen complete with pots/ pans/ utensils etc, TV, washer/dryer, a/c and heat. Hunters must provide and cook their own food.

Reservations
A simple phone call is all it takes to reserve your hunt. 1-888-597-3495 toll free. A $500.00 non-refundable/non-transferable is required to reserve your Ohio hunt. It's legal to hunt over corn in Ohio and we put corn out around our stands. Hunting near bait isn't for everyone so we also have stands that we don't bait that hunters can hunt from as well.

No, gun season is the week after Thanksgiving plus a weekend 2 weeks later. You can use shotgun, muzzleloader or handgun. There is a muzzleloader season in January. However archery season is 5 months long and Xbows are legal.

What makes Ohio so good:

-Reasonable(under $200) OVER THE COUNTER non-resident tags.

-No rifle hunting!

-No firearm season during the primary rut.

-Residents and non-residents can only harvest one buck per season.

-Legal to hunt over bait.

-Between the soil and the genetics we have what it takes to grow large heavy horned whitetails!

Not to mention all the corn and soy beans.

Haven't hunted their Ohio property,yet. But after 12 consecutive season hunting whitetails with them elsewhere I will say Southern Arrowhead is a solid, reliable outfit.

Dont know this outfitter but do know the area. Lots of big deer. Even the does will do 170 to 180. Big bucks if you have patience and skill.

Didn't Ohio just legalize rifle hunting for deer?

Ohio legalized straight wall cartridges such as 357, 44 mag, 45-70 for use with rifle.
