Wendell ReichMale Lion in Save with Shaangan Hunter's
I have a client who wants to sell his Lion hunt with Shangaan Hunters in the Save this year. He bought it, "accidentally" fell into a deal on another Lion, shot it and now does not think he wants two Lions.
If it does not sell, he will gladly go shoot it, but would like to divert this portion of his safari funds to other members of the Big 5.
For anyone unfamiliar with Save Lions, or Shangaan's Save Lions, the success and quality are outstanding.
I had a hunter (AR Member) shoot a Lion here as well. I can't remember his AR handle, but he did post a report. Help me out Tom if you see this ...
Here is Tom's Lion.
505 Gibbs shot one here. It's a hell of a good story!

Our member Aaron Neilson shot one here a few years ago, and, yes, I am going to use his picture to help sell this!
I have a few more fantastic Lion photos, but these guys either are not AR members or chose not to post their photo, so I will not either. Suffice to say it is a great Lion hunt. One of a few very select areas where you can expect numbers, quality and success like this.

Wendell ReichSomeone pointed out that my math was wrong. 18 days x $2200 hardly equals $36,000
Day Rate is $39,600 sorry for the mistake.

mel5141I can highly reccommend Glenn Stockil and his very compotent staff for a Lion hunt.
I spent two weeks with them in this camp in September of last year.
They had a lioness on quota,no males, As it was a true Last Minute trip, I took the lioness hunt and added a Buffalo Bull to the outing.
I have cat hunted sucessfully previously (both lion and leopard) and I can tell you the preparation, location and abundant lion prides in the area offer a high probability of success.
I did not choose to pre-bait (I enjoy being in on the whole process, although it does put more pressure on all involved),but the abundant Game in The Save provided more than ample bait material. Glenn really puts everything into these hunts and we had as many as 8 active baits out during the hunt. Those of you familiar with the process know the level of undertaking this is.
We had as many as 4 baits at one time with Lions hitting them. The large area in this hunting tract provides opportunities for numerous lion encounters
.
We had encounters with 3 different males during our hunting and I feel confident we could have brought one of them to bag had we been trying.
Our lioness kill was textbook, But spiced up a bit by quite a touchy withdrawal dealing with Five prowling lions at close range while the trackers loaded the carcass in the Cruiser.
I found nothing lacking on the trip, and I am
quite willing to discuss this further with anyone serious about the hunt.
PM me for contact if interested.
By the way this is an un-solicited endorsement , I am not in any way affiliated with any Safari Company or Booking Agency, just a guy who writes a check and goes on Safari like most of you.
Best,
Paul Melton

universalmanWendell,
Glad to help out. The hunt I purchased from you was great beyond belief. As you can see I had permagrin which was not erased for a month. Lots of plains game for bait and lots of lion on the baits. I spent the time and it paid off. I booked 18 days and on day 12 I punched my ticket. Thanks again. It was great meeting you at SCI Vegas.
