Greg Jennan the Grizzinator has 1 spot still open for Rocky Mountain Goat for fall '14 on his last hunt Sept 30-Oct 6.

The hunt is conducted by cruising the shore in outboard powered boats and glassing the cliffs for goats. Once a mature billy has been spotted and only then a stalk will be initiated. No climbing to just look to see if a goat might be there. You are targeting a specific animal.

Goats average 9"+ and success should be over 90%.

The hunt is boat based on a 54' yacht so you will have a dry and warm base camp. On occasion it might be necessary to stay over on the mountain for a night to close the deal on a particular goat but your guide will have all the necessary camping gear with him to make a comfortable spike camp.

A black bear might be available if there is time left to change areas, do a hunt and if the bears are still on the salmon streams.

You pick up Greg's yacht in Valdez, AK that can be reached every day from Anchorage with multiple flights each day.

Our own rnovi and another member here on AR had very successful hunt with Greg last year.

Is this a 2 x 1 hunt? Will there be two hunters on the boat for sure?

the hunt will be 1x1 but there probably will be at least one other shooter on the boat.

Personally I would not recommend anyone do a hunt like this 2x1.
