MARK H. YOUNGCOASTAL BROWN BEARS FOR '12 three openings (Discounted)
John Peterson who I've know for many years and had several happy clients with still has 3 openings for brown bear in the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge in western AK for '12.
This area just west of Dillingham may have the densest population of brown bears in Alaska. In the last 20 years limits have moved from one bear every 4 years to two bears every year. I lived in Dillingham for 22 years until '04 and I can tell you from first hand experience that there are loads of bears there.
This hunt can be taken fall 20-29 Sept or 1-10 Oct. The hunt should show you 10 or more bears per day and expectations should be for a bear of 8.5"-9.5". If you even have a fair physical condition you shoud have one or more shooting opportunities. Check out chuck 375 and crbutler's reports on their fall hunts with John. He does it right.

bwanamrmYes it is and I want to go... unfortunately I am in Mozambique from 9/19 - 10/3/12!!! I fished in that area with Brad Estelle of Togiak River Fishing Adventures a few years back for silvers. I still remember a huge boar swimming through our fishing hole one morning!
