Angus MorrisonTrade: H&H Royal Double Rifle or Rainforest Grizzly for the following hunts
Here's something different.
I'm an experience collector and outfit for that same reason, follow my life's passions. There are a few hunts I don't have here at home in British Columbia I need to do, and those are:
-Polar Bear in Canada / at home with a Muskox.
-Tusker exportable Ele (Canada) proper no fence.
-Bongo and a jungle experience.
-Leopard in combination with something else interesting like a tuskless.
-Rhino.
I would trade my Holland & Holland Royal .375 Flanged Magnum Single Trigger, or one of my fully outfitted Great Bear Rainforest Grizzly hunts straight across on the right deal.
My Grizzly hunts I've been 100% as I get so few tags and have 2,100 sq miles to myself. It's the rarest bear tag in North America, and the only two other outfitters hunting the region are Bolen Lewis, and Milligan my direct neighbours. They're at $29,500 US plus all peripheral costs, and so is my posted price though I work with folks here at $23,500US plus tags licence etc etc. I'll trade you straight accross on a Polar Bear and get you a beast of a Coastal Rainforest Grizzly, I'd also do likewise on wild Africa stuff that contains dangerous game or jungle.
Idea with the Royal trade is I'd hunt with it, and leave it with you, I value it at a nice Tusker Ele hunt in open Africa (Zim I particularly like, Caprivi good etc), or a good Rhino in RSA, and will give excellent value on the swap for the right experience. Rhino I realise I have to accept isn't going to be open Zim etc. Trade Grizzly hunt possibility is September 2017. Hope anyone interested likes to fish as it's world class here and I guide that as well, fun doesn't stop after the bear with oceanfront natural hot springs and 800 year old Rainforest.
Swap would be we each cover every cost on the respective hunts, except of course our airfare. If you think you know somebody who might be interested in a swap please share my info with them, as not everyone is online.

Angus MorrisonThanks fairgame, I think so too. For our side of the world and the traveling hunter (me) the .375s see the most use. For your particular work could see liking the big fellas.

I'll look you up on Instagram I'm there too @wildcoastoutfitters

I am getting too old to run and need to shoot my way out nowadays and carry the biggest stick I can handle. The H&H is very tempting though.
Cheers

I'll ship over the neighbors chapacupra dog. I am not sure, what kind of dog it is. But it shit's summer sausages into my yard, and the dog must way all of 8 pounds. Prime candidate for a shot of lead.

Charlie64.
Not to side track this but Andrew what would you do with a Royal ? No man ! That's not a gun for you. You need the workhorse.
Back to the post, great idea, beautiful rifle ! Where did you get it and what age is it ? Stunning wood.
Would you consider coming to Nigeria as a swap !?!
Good luck on this.

Karl SInteresting offer... Like fairgame, I would have been VERY interested if the caliber was of a .450 and bigger... As it is, I have been looking at bear hunts recently...

Angus MorrisonWell Karl can't tell you how many Grizzly guys I talk to who have done one, two, even three unsuccessful Grizzly hunts. Talked to an agent from here this morning with a client that can afford the best who's had two unsuccessful Grizzly hunts.
If you're looking to do Grizzly even if it's not with me spend the money to do it on the coast. The bears are bigger and live at way, way higher densities due to the salmon runs. Inland a Grizzly can have hundreds of square miles of territory it roams, and on the coast one ten mile valley can hold dozens.
It's more expensive but you only have to do it once, and end up with a bigger bear. Plus the Coast experience is seriously wild. On this proposal a fellow and I are working on some dates and options will see how it pans out, I'm optimistic.

DoglegOne thing about it, if someone takes Angus up on this they will get their bear. I don't
know how they could not get one. Heck, if you sat in camp one or more would likely join you.

Angus MorrisonThanks Mike, yea it can be a bit of a problem at times. Good problem to have, we saw what 5 or 7 in 3 days inside a hundred yards including yours on your back here?
Greg and I had to take shifts in September keeping a fire roaring (amazing we were able to have one after the rain you enjoyed) to keep them out of camp and off the bear skins. Just not enough tags... BC government won't be changing that.

nickhAngus ,
What do you think the H&H is worth?
Can you tell us alittle more about it. Is it original, been rechambered / barreled, vintage etc.
Cheers
Nick

Angus MorrisonJust a quick update, we're in and out of the hospital waiting on our third child to be born. Minor hiccups but everyone is well, I just may not reply in timely fashion for a bit here. Please shoot me an email angus@wildcoastoutfitters.com if interested in particulars and have an exchange proposal in mind.

470EDDYAngus,
I recognize some of those rivers!! I am thinking King Salmon in August!!...from a boat!!
Great photography!! That Royal is a dream machine!! Congratulations on the New Little One!!

Angus MorrisonYou're one of the few Steve that absolutely would know them! Pretty remote country and not that many get to know. Hey, Kings are in the rivers starting mid June to July and I have a new boat (Kingfisher, not wood sadly) I need to run...
To the thread in general have several excellent offers up my dangerous game alley, just have to see if dates can work and if I can stomach giving the Royal a new home and a grizzly. Was bad timing to think this up right now but a guy gets to thinking when confined to the house.

That likely sounds like a yarn with your experience of our weather! I kept waking up in cold sweats worried I was in the wrong place when I heard the fire crackle.

470EDDYAngus,
I just got a text from Darren...he bought a Kingfisher 2825...must be a good salesman floating around up there??!!
Yes, it has been one of those winters for us too...21/2 months in Hawaii, then home to deal with neighbors dispute, taxes...but also a couple of great yacht deals...commission in the Royal category!! Simply horrid weather!!
I have been holding off making any commitments with Darren for first week or two of August in the Saltchuck as we discussed as I am trying to go to Africa again to wrap up my SCI African 29 Award...2 more plainsgame animals...and a cruise we are trying to book for 2 months Aug 18 departure??
Once those are firmed up, then we can talk Kings!!
Did you see the post by Caracal for Lord Derby Eland? He has also had some good prices on Bongo. They are really getting outrageous...and one I checked at SCI even had a $4000 jet charter added to price...seems minister of transport owns the charter company so you are locked into extortion!! I see Africa going that way all around....unfortunately some deep pockets pay it...so they think all hunters can!!
I am still burning over what happened to me in Alberta with Overall- Steve Overguard...complete fraud there!!
Your offer on the Blackie is a real great opportunity!!
Congratulations on your new little one!!
How is the Wilga doing for you??
Cheers,
Steve

Angus MorrisonThe Wilga's good! A brute off the alpine lakes, heavy but has the wing and the power. Different feel to it than a peppy Cessna, feels like a small Beaver, grunt rather than finesse. Great visibility makes a heli pilot feel at home.
Too funny haven't messaged Darren in the last month and hadn't heard about the 2825, I bought the same boat except mine is 2' shorter on the rear deck. Convergent evolution I think, great boat for working out here, made in BC and they cut hefty guide discounts which I'm sure didn't hurt in either of our cases.
Yea what a winter here... I was down the coast for shows and Oregon wasn't much different than home. Appreciate the heads up I'll look up Caracal's post, would love to see deep Africa.
The Wilga, will be off to some alpine lakes soon as the wife is on her feet. Those are fun to fish too Steve we should hop to a couple, also doing sturgeon & bull trout locally here only a few hours away from you if you ever find yourself bored. My jet boat on one of the backyard rivers 30 mins from the house.

470EDDYAngus,
What GREAT PIX!! Makes me VERY Envious!!
What a great invitation....actually, we will be coming up on Monday to Pt Moody to observe a sea trial and survey on Tuesday...maybe into Wednesday. I am also looking at a 68 Defever Trawler in Richmond.
I would love to do some flying with you in the lakes, and also try the fantastic Sturgeon fishing you have near by....never tried Bull Trout??!!
I think you have my email....why don't you shoot me a phone number and perhaps we can at least meet on this trip...make a plan??
The bears up in your area are simply Kong Sized, and we saw Grizz most every day while fishing last summer....I was thinking of you while we were out there!!...with ONLY Bear Bangers as protection....which kept us pretty close to the boats!!
I would love to see the Royal if it is not up north?....nothing to trade but $$$
Cheers,
470EDDY
