Freestone Safaris offered me a fantastic deal on two hunters (2 on 1) to share a 24-day LION/LEOPARD safari in the Musulangu concession of Luangwa, Zambia.

THE HUNT IS DESIGNED AS LOW DAILY RATES AND HIGH TROPHY FEES SO BASICALLY YOU PAY ON SUCCESS.

Safari rates for Leopard hunter = $12,000
Safari rates for Lion hunter = $18,000
Leopard trophy fee $9,000
Lion trophy fee $35,000





Each hunter is allowed to take multiple Buffalo at $3,500 each. Hunting observers will be considered.



The hunt can be conducted July - August

Professional hunters will be the Nienbar brothers or me.

Dip & pack $2,000 each

Return vehicle transfers $1,200 per car

Return charter option approx $6,500

How does this work as a 2 on 1? Half the time you sit at the Leopard blind and the other half at the Lion blind?

You'd sit where the cat is feeding. Did something similiar a few years ago. When we got the right lion feeding we set for him and shot him. Following that we figured out which bait had the biggest leopard feeding an killed that one too.

You only sit in the blind when you want to shoot the cat. Last time I was in Musulangu we only sat twice and shot both Lion and Leopard.

Have not been paying attention is USFWS allowing import of either of these?
