reddy375Sable bull -SA
Sable bull hunt in 25,000 acre reserve about 3 hours drive from Joburg.
Cost $7,950
5 hunting days
expected trophy size about 40"
At this location there is nothing else to hunt and you will need the time to hunt the sable, it is not a shoot in the barrel affair. After the sable hunt you can transfer 5 hours by road to the outfitters own 25,000 acre ranch in the Eastern Cape where you can hunt 25+ species of plains game. His ranch adjoins other properties on which he has hunting rights so a vast area to hunt. Extra daily rate and trophy fees will apply for the ranch hunt, depending on what you wish to hunt, there are different options available, cull hunts, beginners package, etc. I am not providing that here as the main hunt is for the sable bull.
Price will include delivery of your trophy to a taxidermist who can mount it or prepare it for shipment overseas. charges to be bourne by the hunter.
Thanks for looking.

fairgameArjun,
Great deal for South Africa. However I have seen a number of Sable taken that are very immature and half a foot less than 'about 40'?
Not that inches matter that much but would you say that this is a big black bull in his prime?
Cheers
Andrew

reddy375Hi Andrew,
The operator I work with has been doing this for 30 years and has a very good name and reputation. He owns his own ranch with 1000s of head of game of many species. I am sure he would not allow a client to shoot an immature bull. He specifically told me that this was not a fish in the barrel affair, which is why it is a five day hunt. I asked him what size trophy can one expect and he said 40", but could be better also.
Thanks,
Arjun
