Karl SExceptional Cape Buffalo Hunting In South Africa: Introductory Offer of a Lifetime
Come and face Africa’s Black Death with us on one of the most picturesque private game reserves in South Africa… As some of you who are familiar with our operation may know, we operate mostly in the Caprivi in Namibia, specializing in dangerous game hunts. But since 2015, we have been involved with Sandymount Park in the Free State province of South Africa.
To introduce this area to all my friends on AR, I am offering a few limited, unbelievably affordable deals of a lifetime on hunts at Sandymount Park. All these deals include a buffalo bull, which normally would sell for US$ 15 500 for a 7-day hunt, (although for an unlimited size trophy).
Option 1 (2 available) Buffalo bull hunt for up to 4 hunters, including day fees for all 4 hunters, plus trophy fee for one bull 34 to 36 inches. (To be pointed out by the PH.) US$ 7 500
Option 2 (4 available)Buffalo bull hunt for up to 4 hunters, including day fees for all 4 hunters, plus trophy fee for one bull 36 to 38 inches. (To be pointed out by the PH.) US$ 9 500
Option 3 (4 available) Buffalo bull hunt and sable bull hunt for up to 4 hunters, including day fees for all 4 hunters, plus trophy fee for one buffalo bull 36 to 38 inches, and sable bull 36 to 42 inches. (To be pointed out by the PH.) US$ 13 500
These prices include day fees for first 4 hunters (can be more hunters, up to 8), and the trophy fees for the stated animals.
Day fees include pick up and drop off in Bloemfontein, full services of hunting staff, PH (2x1 hunting), hunting vehicle, all accommodation, water and soft drinks. It excludes all travel and accommodation before or after hunt, side trips, alcoholic drink tab, taxidermy charges and gratuities to staff.
The property is a total of about 38 000 acres, and has around 80 buffalo bulls. Last year, we averaged over 40 inches on the 7 bulls hunted, so above hunt will be sort of a trophy hunt in reverse, looking for a bull that qualifies for the price. So you should have plenty of stalking opportunities on buffalo. In addition to the buffalo and sable, it holds a variety of over 20 species of other plains game, making it a one stop destination for a great plains game and buffalo safari. The terrain varies from deep valleys with thicker vegetation, to small kopjes (hills) and a section of around 9 000 acres on the southern side, that is typical grassland.
It is really a great place to bring a family or your hunting friends as the accommodation is in a well-appointed lodge, situated in a malaria free area.
Main PH for the hunt most likely to be resident PH Vella Brink, a veteran of the Nature Conservation Department. If my scheduling allows it, I (Karl Stumpfe) may also guide a few of these hunts.
Other game that can be taken on the same hunt, include (US$):
