We have a few openings left for a great fair chase whitetail hunt in west-central IL.
Hunt 3,100 acres of private land, including 1,700 acres of timber and 1,400 acres of row crops.
The hunt is guided with plenty of tree stands and ground blinds, but feel free to bring your own if you like a more hands-on approach.
There is a large 8 bedroom lodge, capable of housing 24 people.
Max of 14 hunters per week.
3 meals/day. breakfasts consist of granola bars, cereal, etc... Lunches will be packed sandwiches, with a home-cooked dinner in the evenings.
booking a few archery, gun (slug or mz), or muzzleloader hunts for 2017.
IL licenses not included, must be purchased separately.
$75 charge for local taxidermist to cape your deer if you do not want to do it yourself.
local meat processing available.
there is a 125" minimum antler score

Oct. 1 - Oct. 8 (6 openings), $1,050

Gun:
Nov. 30 - Dec. 3 (5 openings), $2,100
Muzzleloader:

Freezers on site, yes.
crossbows are allowed depending on certain factors. here is the paragraph from IL DNR:
Hunting with Crossbows
A legally permitted archery hunter may use a crossbow from the second Monday following Thanksgiving through the end of the archery hunting seasons also certain disabled persons with a special crossbow permit (see page 34 of the Hunting and Trapping Digest) or persons 62 years of age or older with photo ID (no special crossbow permit required) can hunt with crossbows. These individuals may hunt game species with crossbows during seasons allowing the use of archery equipment.
Crossbows shall:
have a minimum peak draw weight of 125 pounds and a maximum peak draw weight of 200 pounds.
have a minimum overall length (from butt of stock to front of limb) of 24 inches.
have a working safety.
be used with fletched bolts or arrows of not less than 14 inches in length (not including point).
use broadheads that may have fixed or expandable cutting surfaces, but they must have a minimum 7/8 inch diameter when fully opened. Broadheads with fixed cutting surfaces must be metal or flint-chert-or obsidian-knapped; broadheads with expandable cutting surfaces must be metal.
NOT use electronic tracking systems utilizing radio telemetry.

I'm checking on that and will get back to you asap.
It is not 3,100 continuous acres, but several leased farms. no farm is hunted for 2 consecutive weeks, they are week on/week off. the farthest farm from the lodge is a 30 minute drive.

opportunity at 125" + bucks was 80%
there is a total of 13 farms, with 10 bucks taken last year.
you may also take does as your IL license allows at no extra cost.

cooperjdMy outfitter still has a few spots for oct 1 thru 8, oct 14 thru 21 and for oct 27 thru nov 3rd.
For guys wanting a late season hunt he'll do any starting day after Dec 16 thru Jan 16 for only $800, any 7 days you would like!
