Folks,

In 2020 I hunted with Neil Duckworth/Mokore Safaris for 21 days in Ngamo Sikumi in the NW of Zim taking a remarkable sable and eland. We then moved to the Save Valley Conservancy and took a couple bushpigs and some nocturnal game. Following that we spent a few very productive days on Coutada 9 for kudu, bushbuck, grybok, and giant warthog. At that time I found C9 to be absolutely amazing for an unfenced area with loads of game and a great variety of game. Today C9 is far better than when I was there and greatly improved from just a few years ago.

Coutada 9 maybe the best place in Southern Africa for a free range buff, sable and/or nyala safari. Four of the spiral horns are available and can all be expected on a nyala/PG safari or buffalo combo. Beautiful kudu, bushbuck, huge eland and superb nyala are all there in good number.

The camp is recently built with large private chalets and ensuite bath. Food is excellent and there is Wifi in camp when the generator is running.

Late August into early Nov is the prime time to be there. Earlier the grass is very tall limiting visibility a great deal.

For 2023 there are only 2 buffalo left on quota. If this is something you'd like to do let me know and we can reserve you a spot.

Duckworths deserve a lot of credit for what they've turned that area into. I hear a lot of other PHs rave about it.

Yeah! Barry Duckworth likes to tell the story of his first reconnaissance in C9 before they took it over. All he saw game wise were two vultures fighting over a cane rat.

Today C9 is a shining example of what excellent stewardship of an area can produce.

Good to see the buffalo especially coming on there.

Last year hunting with Doug Duckworth he told me that he sat with a client one afternoon there over a waterpoint and counted over 300 warthogs.

No, I hunted their Sengwa area and the camps they built were awesome.

This post has me wanting sept to get here so I can see this amazing place. I am going to start saving to maybe add a nyala on the trip maybe I can better the 29" I got in natal.

Have you had alot of your clients you sent over take some of the tiny in coutada 9.

No but I shot Grysbok and oribi where common when I was there. I saw Suni and I believe Red Duiker and Suni are common on C14 which Mokore also hunts.

If you make a plan with your PH I think you'll take all 4.
