Traditional Hungarian Driven Pheasant Shooting

Hungary is a very traditional country with a strong hunting culture and a great variety of game species. Apart from the big game hunts we also offer wingshooting that my partner/ good friend Toni Torok has been organising for the USA market since the early 90's.

One popular hunt for a group of friends is the following, which of course can be tailored to your requirements with extra days, sightseeing, Duck shooting, Hare shooting, driven Boar hunt etc.

Day 1/ arrival to Budapest Airport, transfer to lodge in nice large private bus.

Day 2/ 500 Pheasants over 5-6 drives, normal shooting day is start around 09.00 at the hunting ground (15 minutes from the lodge) and shoot 4 drives, stop for lunch outside, then do another 2 then traditional ceremony.

Day 3/ 300 Pheasants again in the same format.

Day 4/ transfer back to Budapest, and either stay and tour the city, fly back, or we can arrange anything you wish.

Price works out with 8 hunters 3400 USD person.

Includes/ road transfers, 3 nights single room in nice modern hunting lodge, really nice meals, wine, beer, soft drinks, hunting license, cartridges at 4:1, professional guides, 800 Pheasants.

Not included/ air travel ,gun permits, gun hire (75 USD day direct to owner), extra Pheasants 25 USD, touring, hotels in Budapest, personal expenses etc.

Lodge is a modern nice lodge, located 220KM from airport along easy fast roads. Pheasants are released in the summer and shooting starts in mid October and ends January. Best time is late October-November. Birds fly all different heights but mostly 25-30 metres. Guns suggested are over and under and side by side in 12/16/20/28 bore.

We can shoot more birds if wanted , ducks, 6 guns, 10 guns etc- basically we are flexible and can help with whatever.
