MARK H. YOUNGAK openings 2011 for brown bear, moose and sheep
I've been booking for John Peterson who hunts the Brooks Range and Western AK for all the major AK species for several years now and my clients have been very happy. AR members Nganga (dall sheep) crbutler (brown bear) hunted with him this year. Both Nganga and crbutler wrote reports here on AR.
John has some openings for 2011 for sheep and brown bear. John's sheep hunts in the Brooks offer nearly a 100% chance at a full curl ram for folks in reasonable physical condition. Fall brown bear in Western AK will also offer basically a 100% opportunity to harvest a bear averaging 9' squared.
Sheep 1x1 10 days 3 spots in Aug $14,500
Brown bear 1x1 10 days 2 spots Sept/Oct $14,500
Extras:
Add float trip $1,000
Lic/tag
Bush flights $1,000 RT
Hotels before or after hunt
Airfare
Trophy shipping
I also can offer moose with two operators in the Alaska Range. I've had several clients with each and they've had about a 90% opportunity on legal bulls (50" minimum) and a 80% success rate on bulls averaging high 50"-low 60". crbutler hunted with one of these guys Fred Sorensen this year just before his brown bear and was successful on a beautiful 58" bull.
Fred does 6-8 moose hunts per year and offers a very personalized experience. Most of his area is accessible by ATV that allows Fred to offer a very wild experience without the hiking involved in many AK hunts.
The other hunt is for the hunter wanting to walk and it produced a 61" bull for my client this year. Horses ar eprovided for packing meat but a fair physical condition is needed for this one. These all are top drawer wilderness hunts offering a hassle free experience.

GunsCoreMark,
What do you mean - Add float trip $ 1000
Sounds like fun.

MARK H. YOUNGBBC,
If you choose to hunt via a mobile camp/float trip it costs a $1,000 more. Particualrly on the sheep hunt a float trip will take you into areas that are otherwise difficult to access. I highly recommend this option.
