Aaron NeilsonNamibia Elephant - Cancellation!
Outfitter: Van Heerden Safaris
Agent: Global Hunting Resources
Location: Namibia - Caprivi (Dzoti Concession)
Species: Trophy Elephant
Dates: 10-Day hunt, Available from August 12 - September 9, 2010
This is a true cancellation hunt, a $5,000.00 deposit was recently forfeited on the hunt. I have personally hunted with this outfitter, and highly recommend him and his operations. Two weeks ago they shot a 61 x 67 lb bull, but realistic expectations are from 50 - 70lbs.
Dzoti hunting concession is one of the youngest registered conservancies but definitely one of the most promising big game hunting areas in Namibia. The area comprises of 250km² and borders directly with three major National Parks. With Mudumo National Park in the North-West as the border,
Dzoti shares the same dense Mopani vegetation that offers shelter to animal species like Sable, Roan, Kudu, Zebra, blue wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, leopard and lion. The south–western limit is Mamili National Park, and the south-eastern border is the Linyanti River of which the opposite shoreline belongs to the world renowned Chobe National Park of Botswana.
