DikDik, Klippspringer and more in the Erongo Mountains of Namibia 2022
Hello Guys,

I have access to a property in the Erongo Mountains. It is a very a large very scenic area with no game fencing. Leopard are plentiful and you have a good chance to see a rhino here and there.

In particular interesting are DikDik, Mt Zebra, brown hyena and Klippspringer.

Mountain Zebra are very common in this part of Namibia. They offer a very demanding and fun hunt. My personal favorite plains game!

DikDik are plentiful and it's more a question of finding the one you like. We also expect a close to 100% successrate on Klippspringer.

Brown Hyena is a bit tricky but historically there is a overall successrate for Hyena of 90%. Please note that brown hyena is not exportable to the US, as far as I know.

We can host 4 hunters together.

Properly hunting mountain zebra is, in my experience and estimation, one of the tougher hunts. If you want to get some semblance of the hunting conditions, just look closely at the rocky terrain in the pic. That was my experience as well. In the area that I hunted, it was rocky, steep, full of deep draws, hills/mountains and canyons and rough going. You will earn a mountain zebra on a hunt such as that! Well worth it, along with the Damaraland dik dik and klippie! tu2

Thanks guys.

The Erongo is a fantastic place to hunt for sure. The terrain is rough and this type of landscape doesn't support large herds standing around. Mountain zebra are constantly on the move and they are hardly ever on flat ground :-).

I personally also find it interesting that this area and this farm has been in a stronghold for bushman a few hundred years ago.
When the first german settlers arrived, only about 100years ago, there were was no more human activity (maybe due to the lack of water)-

Painting on this property.

Here are two good Kudu taken recently on this hunt.
Just a proof that even though Kudu numbers are lower then they used to be, there are still nice bulls around.

There is no lack of leopard, Chet.
Getting them to eat when you want is the difficult part, but we'll do out best!

This really looks like a great deal. I believe you posed this or a similar hunt a few years back and I wanted to do it then. Very tempting…..

Please keep posting pics
