Hi All,
We have just taken on the management of two fabulous estates in the south west of Scotland home to the Current Scottish record hill stag.
Due to the lease commencing on the 1st September and the rut starting in two weeks we are offering a late booking opportunity for to come and experience this hunt at a substantial discount.
It is prime time and you will be in the best weeks of the roar. Of the dates quoted we will hunt in between as the quoted dates are arrival and departure dates.
Stags are of great mass rather than huge numbers of points and in the classic Scottish style. You can expect to shoot 10-14 pointers with medal quality animals very possible and there is no restriction on the size or number of deer you can shoot. 9 points and below will be treated as a management stag regardless of how it scores.
Moderate fitness is required and we would want hunters to use a 308/30-06 calibre or bigger for preference.
This is an opportunity to hunt wild red stags in a stunning location. Hunters can expect to take multiple stags
Hunt includes
B&B accommodation or cottage accommodation.
Pick up and drop off to Glasgow airport
All hunting transport
Field Prep of trophies
Hunt does not include
flights
personal expenses
drinks in the pub, (non alcoholic refreshments are available included)
Taxidermy
Lost and wounded animals will be charged in full
Gratuities
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Yes you can shoot multiple stags and you could probably shoot one a day if you wish and the weather allows.
We will have rifles available should you prefer not to bring your own.
If you would like to do the hunt as an individual then that is also possible and cost would be the same and we can make up the other hunter. If we don't have another hunter you will hunt 1x1 for no extra cost.
The ground is very big with lots of vantage points/ beats so we can easily accommodate multiple hunters at any time.

Adam.270Guys,
Kiri is currently somewhere on the hill hunting his own Red stag for a couple of days, so he's out of the loop. In the meantime, if you have a look in the Red deer gallery on the Athina Sporting website, from top left, pictures 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 are stags taken on the Garroch.
http://athinasporting.com/inde...ame-gallery#red-deerHopefully there'll be more pictures when Kiri returns and after I get back from hunting there with US and UK clients when the stag season closes on the 20th October.
Thanks,
Adam.

Jan DumonHunting stags in Scotland is one of the great hunts out there. Thoroughly enjoyed mine some years ago. A kind word of caution though : Don't try to drink Scotch with the locals.... these guys are immune to the stuff ! Wonderful hunting destination.
