I have a very cool opportunity in north Macedonia for free range red stag in a real stunning mountain area.

This is my main area for balkan chamois. There are large unspoiled forested valleys below the chamois habitat that are home to a growing population of wild red stag. There are brown bear, wolfes, Lynx and roe deer as well.
It is a pristine wild area, like not many left in Europe.

Chamois Package: 3500€ or $3750 for a 3day hunt (4nights) including a chamois regardless of size.


I expect that you will get a red stag with 7-9kg, but a chance to get bigger.
We took a stag with 12kg last season

Red stag hunt: 1600€ or $1800 for 5days hunting/6nights

You will either have to come in early September (rut time) or in November. That will be the best time to hunt red stag there.

Up to 7kg - $3300
Extra payment:
up to 8kg - $1100
up to 9kg - $2650
up to 10kg - $5300
every kg above 10kg - $4670

How big is 12 KG? How big are the heads in the last photo of the three heads against the wall?

So, a 12 kilo trophy would be the $1800 hunt cost plus base trophy fee of 3,300, plus the $5300 add on up to 10KG then $4670 up to 11KG and another $4670 up to 12 KG for a total of $19,740?

the stags against the wall are all 7-8kg.
A good stag in this area will be 7-9kg.


A 12kg is very big and a trophy of a lifetime. Trophies in Macedonia are very light and a stag like this would weight much more in Hungary or so.
Only one has been taken in the area in that size and they are not common.
That's the 12kg stag.

Chamois are all sold, but still have spots for red stag available in mid September 2024.
