BigBulletDiego,
My wife and visited Spain this past winter starting in Madrid. We spent 2 weeks and though it was a little wet and snowy, we had an absolutely wonderful time and the Spainish people were very warm and frieldly.

Tim CarneyDiego,
If you want to go about 25mi north of Swakopmund to Henties Bay, here's the place:
http://www.byseewahguesthouse.com/I know the folks who run it and also the folks who are part owners. Have stayed there and like the town (tho am not a fisherman myself).
In Swakopmund itself, if you are looking to be pampered stay at the Hansa Hotel which, by the way, has one of the best jewelry shops in the Southern Hemisphere out the door and just on the left.
Regards, Tim

Larry SellersI can vouch for the Hansa Hotel in Swakop. Great rooms, excellent dining and the bar is nice also. Really "close to" a lot of walk to shopping from jewlery to drugstore. If you are strictly interested in the "close to" fishing, Henties might be the better choice.

NorthwayIf you have time, try the atving in the dunes. We atv alot in Alaska and it was an absolute blast! We ate at lunch at a place overlooking the ocean. It had some incredible fish! I can't remember the name of the fish, but it is what they caught locally. By the way, my niece just signed a professional basketball contract to play with a team in Spain. I hope to get over there and visit with her while she is playing!

Northwaydwarf416,
If I make it over there, I will gladly give you a call! She is playing for a team on the coast. I am not sure what town yet. Best of luck in Namibia. It is a beautiful country! I can't wait to get back there. We spent 4 days in Swako and had a good time. We were there in July, so the fishing wasn't that great, but we had a great time trying!
