I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't related to all the WIFI and BLUETOOTH devices being used on airplanes by the passengers.

Intermittent software "bugs" such as these, are almost impossible to duplicate and until you can reliably duplicate the problem, they can't be reliably fixed.
