FjoldNo more Champagne in American Business Class
Why not just fly Southwest or Jet Blue with the rest of the plebes?
American Airlines No Longer Serves ChampagneAmerican Airlines quietly dropped champagne in July, according to View From the Wing's Gary Leff.
"American Airlines no longer serves champagne in its long-haul business class, offering only Italian sparkling wine Ferrari Brut Trento Doc from Trentino, which is decidedly mild. To be fair, you can drink it. But it’s neither champagne nor memorable," he shared.

CharlesLNot a fan of sparkling wine. So I wouldn't know the difference between champagne and sparkling wines from regions other than the Champagne region of France.

Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.
There isn’t a single time in my entire life where alcoholic beverages served on a flight had even the slightest influence on which airlines or flights I booked. At least for this instance, it’s completely irrelevant for me.

Michael RobinsonIf you say no to Champagne, you say no to life.
Extra credit for sourcing that excellent and true observation.
When my wife and I go out, we will often order Champagne.
We are frequently asked, “What is the occasion?“
If the day of the week is Tuesday, I will always answer, “Tuesday.”
Other weekdays require other answers.

Michael RobinsonSaeed, you are boring.
Chuck, you are a connoisseur!
Veuve Cliquot or Pol Roger are our go-to bottles these days.
If more is warranted, then Louis Roederer Cristal Brut.
But I will never turn down Dom Perignon, Mumms or any other Champagne!
As has been said, “If you say no to Champagne, you say no to life!”
