NgrumaIf you had one day in Dubai, what to do?
I have read all the previous posts regarding this subject, and there are a few good suggestions, BUT if you had only one day 9AM until 9PM on a Thursday what would be the best use of your time? Best sights, restaurants, must see(s)? Thanks guys!

K EvansBuy tickets to go to the top of the Burj Khalifa, walk thru the "souk" (tons of little shops, cheap Rolex watches and if you don't like Rolex's, cheap purses and T-shirts), go to the mall and visit the aquarium, ride the water taxi across Dubai Creek (I believe that is correct) from one market area to another. Lots to see and do.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

I agree with this at the top of the list. You can only get a feel for the scope of the skyline from the air. Plus how many times will you get to fly on a 208 on floats in a place where you don't have to worry about icing.
PM Saeed and see if he may be around. His gracious tour of his home, shop, and shooting tunnel was quite the experience. He's a heck of a good guy.

Venture SouthPrivate Falconry Display and Dune picnic with Royal Shaheen.
Its an incredible experience and Pete and the crew will take good care of you.
They can do a dune drive on the way back and can even tie a trip to Al Maha Desert Resort in with their package
If you want to tie a tourist flight in hire a helicopter, do the flight and have them drop you in the desert.
You cant go wrong. These guys get a big thumbs up. Top class service.

NgrumaHey guys, many thanks for the input so far! Looking forward to Emirates Business class on the A380-800, and the 777-300ER (not so much). The wife is excited just to be in Africa again. Two months in Namibia and the Caprivi with friends at Omujeve, and Erindi. It has been awhile(9 years) since we have been on continent. Dubai should be eye opening on many fronts. All suggestions for hotels and great venues appreciated!
