Are We Beginning To See The Light....
Since the bloody Chink Virus came along, the world has been upside down.

Practically no one could made their minds of what is actually going on.

Here in Dubai we have been fairing much better than the rest of the world.

Restrictions at the beginning, mass vaccination, and then relatively open society.

Europe has been run by some of the most stupid politicians, led by Germany and France.

They still have their heads stuck up their collective rear ends!

But, it seems some countries have decided to take a more realistic view of this virus.

Singapore has decided they will no longer publish daily data, and will take this virus just as any flue virus.

Australia is so far behind, and their rules are so stupid - they close one side of a road, while the other is open!!?? Because they fall under different jurisdictions!!

The flue apparently kills about 2% of those who get it.

According to the Worldmeter, the death rate for this Chink Virus is 2.17%!!??

Let us hope with vaccinations the rest of the world will come to its senses soon.

A friend wanted to go to the UK for his daughters performance.

The UK quarantines everyone coming from the UAE.

He had to fly to Iceland.

Spend two weeks there, and then fly to the UK to avoid quarantine.

Boris's Blonde Bimbo is in charge I suppose!

I think it may have been smarter to let the virus run its course in the early days, get it over with, than to drag it out for 2 years with huge costs, and lower death rate but going on for much longer.

Of course hindsight is always clearer.

In the USA, we were fortunate that in our federal system, the feds only controlled the airports and planes. The states did their own thing, so at least some parts of the country were not subject to blunders.

You got that right!
We can only buy new electric cars with no diesel or gas cars available new in 2035 or so.
Everyone trying to go mad at climate change which is total bollocks - just a money spinner.
UK, Germany and France i honestly believe are the worst and most pathetic governments in Europe.

In my part of Texas and Oklahoma…life totally normal. The only part of my life that is still hindered…is travel to Africa.

No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.

I'm leaving in a little over a month. Testing is going to be a pain. Don't know what mask protocols will be, but have a single seat, so shouldn't be necessary. I'll take a half dozen anyway.

Biggest pain is my firm will quarantine me for two weeks on my return.

Flew yesterday on Emirates to Sweden.

Masks required at Dubai airport.

On the plane I only put the mask on when going to the bathroom.

First Class had only 3 passengers, out of a possible 8.

A few in Business, and a lot in economy.

Service, as usual, was excellent, and the food was great.

They had free tests at Arlanda airport for those who to have them.

Immigration was a breeze, and there was no sign of customs.

Lovely country, very friendly people.

And one that does not require you to fill in arrival forms.

I actually thought these were out of date, but it seems certain countries still cling to them
