Great Zimbabwe Ruins

Has anyone toured there? Would you recommend it? It looks like it is between where I will be hunting (Malapati) in May and Harare.

DEFINITELY worth a visit if you're anywhere close. A good all-day trip if that's what it takes. Explore more than just the "Great Enclosure"...go up on the surrounding hills also. Hopefully, you'll have time and opportunity to enjoy it. When I was there, late 70's... we had to sweep the area for CT's before being able to enjoy a little exploration.

I wonder if it was the basis of the big fortified villages that are always in Tarzan movies
