Earthquake just south west of Jo'Berg
5.2 in magnitude at only 5 km below the surface, 8 km south of Stilfontein. I bet that woke some people up at 4:08 this morning.

I was standing in the biz class lounge at Joberg at the receptionist desk and felt the building moving back and forth. Kind of a "fast sway" More than a normal building movement. Then the receptionist said, "The ground is shaking!" Everyone stood still and one at a time you could see the surprise as everyone felt it. If you were not paying attention, you could easily miss it, but if you stood still, you definitely felt it.

I felt it before she mentioned anything and I thought "It's an airport, we are upstairs, this is normal." But you could see her reaction was one of surprise, so I could tell it wasn't normal.

This was my first earthquake!!! dancing (that I can confirm was an earthquake).

This quake was at a different time than the one mentioned above. It was in the afternoon of the same day though. Around 17:00 maybe. Definitely not a normal experience according to the two employees there.

We cope with Zuma down here, we cope with armed robbers and we cope with bad exchange rates.
We don't do earthquakes, quite rare.
I felt my feet on the coffee table shaking and the finest Merlot from the Cape was rippling in the glass.
