Medicare paying for covid test.
With the USA requiring you to get a covid test to return to the states, will Medicare pay for it? My wife is trying her best to get it done. Our test cost $400 for two, that's no small amount.

I leave in a week for Jamaica. The resort I am staying at furnishes and pays for the CDC approved test to return.

Medicare Part A is for major medical expenses...surgery etc.

Part B is optional and generally pays for routine medical care but there are co-pays and deductibles with the supplements. There are other types of medicare plans as well.

Without know exactly what medicare part B plan you have its impossible to give you an accurate answer.

Since the test to return to the US is obviously done outside the US, I doubt Medicare will pay for it.....

I have Medicare Part A with Feral Blue Cross. Where we are now, Medicare has denied it, Blue Cross is looking at it. Medicare does have a form for overseas expenses but Part A does not cover this.

I have had Medicare pay for the tests in the US. My understanding is that Medicare pays for nothing outside the US.
