American Airlines won’t load guns to mexico
Has anybody had any issues recently flying guns to mexico? Our group heading to Hermosillo to dove hunt, American says they won’t accept guns. This was from the on duty supervisor. We had our Mexican Gun permits, etc.

What airport was that? Americans flights from Phoenix to Hermosillo are nearly all deer and dove hunters from December to February. When I flew into Hermosillo 2 years ago, I think there were 65 hunters on board.

I have spe nt 2 + hours on the phone w/AA trying to get an answer. They keep deflecting from an answer and refer me to their Policy... Which states " For Domestic flights...
No reference to International Flights anywhere, or from anyone... Maybe Travel w/Guns or Gracy can weigh in...

I have transported guns on domestic flights. And mexico is considered a domestic flight. I know makes no sense it’s how the flight dispatch is done not where it actually goes

Hi Mark,

American does allow firearms into Mexico and I have people go all the time without any issues. I get the firearms preapproved on the flights so maybe that helpS however I have not had any issues with clients on American.

Have a great week!

Take care,
