Bwana91SAA Business vs. Delta Business Advice needed
Booking my Safari in Moz and would like opinions on SAA Business vs. Delta Business. Delta would be about $1100 cheaper but it's not really a critical factor.
My experience with Delta Business has not been that great after having done it a few times to Europe. I don't really care for their "cocoon" beds and they are too short and narrow for my 6'4" frame. I'm wondering if Delta Business to Africa is better seating. My last several trips to Africa have been in SAA Business and I think SAA's business seating/service is pretty good.
I do like the fact that the Delta flight is straight thru from Atlanta with no stops in Accra or Dakar. The bonus with SAA is that I land in Joburg and take off a few hours later to Lusaka so there is no overnight. I am bringing one double-rifle with me.
Thanks in advance.

FjoldThis is SAA business I believe, I fly so much that I tend to mix them up a lot. I don't remember any problems and I'm 6'1"

larryshoresThe business seats to Africa differ from the business seats to Europe or South America, at least based upon what I have experienced. The seats to Africa are much better. I have flown just shy of 4 million miles on Delta.
I agree with you about the cocoon seating. I am only 5'9".

jdollarGo to seatguru.com and check the diagram and description of both airline's seats on the type of plane each uses to Africa.

Tim HeraldWhat Larry said. The Delta One seats to JNB basically make a twin bed, no real rows as they are diagonally laid out. They are much nicer on the 777 to JNB than the 767's to Europe and S America.
