If you had ever worked in China you would understand this happening.

When I was there 20 years a go, they convicted the owner if a trucking company for cutting a hole in the Great Wall so that his trucks could bypass a 10 RNB ($1.20) toll every day.

There should be a hole in the plane to drop such assholes out thru!! Maybe they'd sober up by the time they hit earth again.
