I am trying something different this year.
At 6'-3" I am too tall for coach and refuse to pay business class.
Air France offers Premium Economy. It is a separate cabin, larger seats, and some other perks. For me well worth the money. The cost was nominally more than Delta Economy Comfort and I do not overnight in Jo'berg. Factoring that savings it is about even.
I do not leave until July but am anxious to see what it will be like.
There is a long layover in Paris during the day, but there are worse things in life.

Airfrance premium economy is excellent value for money. I got upgraded for it and it would make a cheap skate like me upgrade.

JudgeGI've done the Premium Economy Air France cabin 4 times. Well worth it. Seats rotate within a shell, btw. Takes a while to find most comfortable setting and coordination with footrest, but quite roomy when you figure most satisfactory combination. Has a/c power for a cpap, too.
Take the train into Paris! Easy, cheap and fast. Right to Notre Dame, too.

I have flown both Premium Economy and Business Class on Air France and both are a huge step up over cattle car... especially when you are our size. Travel well!

MikeBurkeRussell,
I like to think the seats are becoming smaller in coach and it is not me becoming larger.
I am 6'8" and have flown Air France Premium Economy several times. Well worth the extra $$. If Business Class isn't sold out, often times they will send you an e-mail a day or so before your flight offering to upgrade you for a nominal fee.
