Rick Behlingneed help on travelling with a firearm
I just booked my flight today for my upcoming plains game hunt to Namibia in September 2009.
I will be flying from Toronto to London and then on to Windhoek. We will be spending 3 days sightseeing in London before flying to Windhoek.
My question is this: What do I do with my firearm for the 3 days while in London? It is my understanding that you cannot take possession of the firearm while in London. Do I need to use the services of a bonded agent to store/transport the firearm or can I make arrangements with the airline for storage?
I am flying into and out of Gatwick Airport, however on different airlines.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you change the title a bit and add London, some of the London based members might chime in.
Or try on the European Forum.

crbutlerIt is my understanding that you will need a bonded agent, both to take them to a different airport and to hold the guns while in England.

MARK H. YOUNGRick,
Contact rw@gunrunner.cc He will handle everything for you at a reasonable price. I personally used him the last time I stayed over in London and was completely satisfied with his service.
