K EvansNamibia Visa on Arrival
We used the online service to apply for our visas, took less than 30 minutes for two visas. Upon arrival at Windhoek there were long lines at immigration there were probably 20 booths with immigration officers and there were 6 or 8 booths marked for e-visa only, the process was quick and simple, we were out of the airport in about 30 minutes, including firearms permit. Much different than at O R Tambo!

SIKA98KWell lucky you ! I was there last week and it was a good 90 minutes. Of a party of 3 one managed to upload enough to get his visa online. 2 couldn’t but the time difference in clearing was minimal.

K EvansDid they still have the 6-8 booths dedicated for e-visa? When we were there, quite a line at the booths doing Visa on arrival.
Karl, when you got your visa online, did you click on the button labeled for a Holiday Visa or the on the one labeled for Visa on Arrival?
I tried to use the Holiday Visa but the program said I should use the Visa on Arrival form.
I just want to make sure to get the e-visa online so I don't have to get it done when I arrive.

K EvansThere is a button for “e-visa”, that’s the one. The other visas ask for way too much info. You will need a passport photo to include with the application, invite letter, too I think.

surefire7Getting ready to leave for Namibia soon. Any updates on the e-visa or just doing the visa on arrival? Wondering as to the difference in wait time. Thanks for any advice.

We had a very good experience last month and it is so easy to do the e-visa on line, maybe 15-20 minutes from walking in the immigration hall to walking out. Personally, anything I can do to possibly ease my transit thru immigration is well worth doing. But, others have said they didn’t think it was any quicker.

UltraMagWe just got back! It was pretty unorganized the VISA on arrival people weren't staying on their side. A lot of them came into the e-visa side and took forever. There weren't many agents as well so made it even worse. It was the most frustrating part of our trip for sure.
Once we got to an agent it went quickly having the e-visa. The agent didn't want the Invitation letter or even see it for that matter. They wanted us to write the info where we were staying during our stay and the dates we were going to be staying
Just got home night before last hope that helps
