Mt expereince flying that same route on several occasions is that there is no additional cost for any regular gun case such as a ICC, TuffPak etc.

BiebsWeight limit would be the usual 50 lbs. I try to keep it to 44, which is the intra-Africa 20 kg limit, in case it gets weighed from Joberg to my next destination, or on the return trip.

ROSCOEIt has been my experience that you are simply at the mercy of the ticket agent. Some will try and charge you for all they can, and other will tag it and never measure or put it on the scale. Since you are traveling with several airlines you may get one story with one and a new one for the other. Staying below 50 LBS would be my best advice.

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! 'What the hell could possibly go wrong?'

shakariThese might help:
http://www.shakariconnection.com/gun-cases.htmlhttp://www.shakariconnection.c...unting-zimbabwe.htmlYou should also be aware that BA strictly enforces the UN arms embargo to Zimbabwe and won't allow you to through check your rifles/ammo to Zim.
You need to check your bags to SA, collect them there and then recheck them in for your flight to Zim. To do that, you need an in-transit permit and if you have a connection time of less than 3 or 4 hours, I suggest you use a firearms service.
458Aubs of Kent Air Services runs a very good one and you can contact him either by PM or by clicking his link here:
