Sharp fall in demand triggered by the escalating political crisis
British Airways have denied claims by a Zimbabwean government official that they will resume direct flights from London to Harare next spring. David Chaota, chief executive of the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe, said BA has agreed to restart flights to Harare in March or April 2010. BA suspended flights to the Zimbabwean capital in October 2007 due to a sharp fall in demand triggered by the escalating political crisis in the country. Despite the southern African nation becoming more stable since the formation of a new power-sharing government earlier this year, a BA spokesman has said the airline does not have any current plans to resume the Harare service.

Idaho Sharpshooterso, who wants to use them anyhow? They might keep my rifles. I'd sooner take a tanker or cargo ship.

MARK H. YOUNGBA flying direct into Harare again at this point would only be beneficial for hunters not wanting to bring their own guns because the arms embargo is still in effect.
Rich,
BA is my prefered airline and the one I recommend to my clients. If you want the best service, to arrive with your guns and luggage they are the best carrier servicing Africa. Ask Gracy Travel who they recommend as far as the least baggage problems are concerned.

jetdrvrDuring my flying career, I logged almost 750,000 miles on BA to Africa and the UK. IMHO, they are the best carrier out there. They wrote the book on airline service and quality air crews as BOAC, and the tradition continues.
