TuffPak travel question
I did search and found only older info. My wife, son and I are travelling to Zim next week, overnight in JNB at Afton. I'm seeing conflicting info about rifles having to be in their own "case". I was planning to put all 3 of our rifles in one TuffPak (with each labeled individually). Has anyone done this recently? Can you transit more than one rifle in one TuffPak with each rifle having a different 4457 "owner"?
Thanks

Bwana338afternoon Neil
you are allowed to take up to 3 firearms. and the Tuffpak will hold 3 rifles.
now if the firearms are in your name you are good to to go. provided that no 2 rifles are the same caliber.
however, if you and your son will have to have different gun cases.
or, you have the 4457's in your name.
problem with this become, your ammunition meeting the 11 pounds in a lockable case.
Thanks -
For clarity, each rifle is a different caliber and each person has their own ammo case and each person has a 4457 in their name for their firearm. I just can't get clear if all three soft cases (each one labeled) can go into one TuffPak.

whisk(e)y hunterYou should have a separate, lockable hard case for each 4457 named owner

colmacivorYou can have mutiple rifles in one tuff-pac as long as they are of different cal and on a 4457 in the travelers name..This is for JNB. Have had more in flights to Maputo..There is a weight limit by airlines but the # of rifles is usually from the Country...I just got back from three Countries and took 5 rifles left three in Namibia until I returned from Botswana and took three into S.Africa on an export permit...JM
