jdollarIf you aren’t leaving the airport, dollars are fine and a credit card is even better-if you card doesn’t charge a foreign currency transaction fee. If you are going to be in town a few days or more, convert some money into dirham for tips and small purchases. Use the CC for everything else.

A credit card without foreign transaction fees always gives you the best exchange rate. Otherwise, you pay 3% to 10% to exchange dollars for the local currency. Most everywhere in the world accepts Visa and MasterCard.
