Unfortunately if your not alert and pro active when your traveling I can see a screw up like this happening not so infrequently.

Just today, a Delta reservationist tried to schedule me to fly out of Bangkok, Thailand (BKK) instead of Brunswick, GA (BQK).

Always check your boarding pass and your luggage tags to make sure they have the same final destination.

My hunting partner can tell you from experience that there is a Grand Rapids Michigan, and a Grand Rapids Minnesota.

If you are not paying attention, it can be a shock at 30,000 feet to find out that you just bought a very long bus ride in the middle of the night, back to where you wanted to go!
