Air 2000 in JoBurg
For those of you in the states that use Air 2000, who do you use to send your documents to Air 2000, USPS, Fedex, UPS or another carrier.

And how long does it take from the states to get these?

Thanks

df06: We have used Air2000 for several years and have always sent our paperwork USPS International Priority Mail with no problems; it usually got there in about 2 weeks. However; this year there apparently was a mail worker's strike in Joburg and the mail was simply piling up on the floor and somehow caught fire...so we resent it using Fedex and Air2000 had it in 5 days.

Karl, is right if all others do their thing Air2000 will surely do theirs.

Just a thought;
Can you fill it out, Scan it and send via e-mail?

They want original, signed copies.

I got caught in the mail strike this year, so sent a follow-up set of documnets with a fellow hunter who was goig a month before me. He hand delivered the paperwork. Fedek, etc., is quite expensive especially when time isn't an issue.

I have sent SAPS via USPS but not this year. Due to the strike and fire of mail I chose to use FedEx. Opened an account and the cost was around $75. It arrived in about 3-5 days. Trusting the mail system in RSA is risky. Although it has worked in the past for me, I know others whose packets were "lost" and who therefore had to re-send via FedEx or UPS.

It's a small expense when you consider the total cost of a safari.
