Headed to Namibia next month with a couple who have never been to Africa. We are going on a plains game hunt and on the return they have a full day to kill in Windhoek and want to see some of the big five. I’m thinking a charter flight to Etosha and a day trip through the park. Any other ideas to see eles, rhinos, lions etc near Windhoek?

Your best bet is to ask the outfit you are hunting with.

You may look at Erindi. Just a couple hours drive from Windhoek.

I too would drive to Erindi rather than go to Etosha.

Erindi may be close, but Etosha, well it is Etosha.

Erindi looks like a good option except they don’t allow day visitors, according to their website.
