TWLPortugal and Spain ??
I know this is primarily for feedback about Africa. Indulge me, please. Anyone been to Portugal and Spain?
My wife and I are planning on a culture/food/wine tour of Portugal and Spain. Primarily a ground tour, not a cruise. Although I understand there is a pretty nice river cruise available.
Probably hire a dedicated car and driver as we have done in Ireland. Looking for advice and insight on places to go, and places not worth the effort.
Best....TWL

MARK H. YOUNGHowdy,
Madrid is a "must see". Lots to see and do. Safe! Easy to get around as cabs are everywhere. Clean with almost no homeless. Not too expensive. We loved it.

WesheltonjHow many days? What time of the year? What interests?

spanishhunterIn Portugal you need to try Bacalao fish.
Spain you should visit Madrid, Granada, Sevilla, Ávila y Segovia.
In the Ávila región or Valladolid which is bordering, there is many wine plants and they can organize a visit to a wine factory for you. In Segovia you can get a ballon to have a better view of landscapes.
Lamb and pork you should try In Ávila or Segovia.
Enjoy it.
