Does anyhone know if there are luggage wrap facilities available in JNB on the way out?

In the past I have seen it done at the airport. I just returned but did not notice it being done this time but I am sure they are still doing it.

I reccommend plastic wrapping soft bags. Simply because it is a deterent to pilfering which as you can perhaps imagine is a genuine issue at JNB Airport.

In my experience the longer your bag remains in someone else's control the greater the potential for someone to attempt taking a look-see. Sad, as pretty much everyone desires to unencumber themselves from their baggage and complete Check-In procedures.

At least this precaution offers an immediate visual check to see if the bag has been tampered with.

Yes, on Oct. 5 we saw them when we went inside the airport before getting into the ticket counter area.
