camo packs
We will fly into Jo berg and spend one night then off to Mozambique. Will camo day packs be a problem or rule it out??

It might be, as far as I know it is legal, However the last time I went thru Jo'berg with my camo day pack I was searched 3 or 4 times when leaving the country. My buddy was not searched with a gray day pack. I think it just draws attention to you. I will keep all my camo and hunting related items out of plain sight in the future, just less hassle. Best of luck on your trip.

I just came through Joberg with my camo day pack that contains all the video equipment I use for filming hunts. It went through security checkpoint loaded with electronics, wireless mics, batteries, lights, cables 2 cameras etc. It was not even given a second look. They could care less if it's camo.

Jim,

Our hunting camo patterns are not a problem particularly on a day pack. A pattern resembling military camo is never a good idea. I've dragged a Realtree pack all over and it has never drawn any undue attention.
