World Cup Dates
I am trying to put together a last minute hunt and don't want to run into the World Cup travel problems. When will the Cup be over? I'm not a soccer fan so please excuse if this is a dumber than usual question.

CollinsI heard Soccer isn't too popular outside of the US. You might not have to worry about it.

geoffIt has had a drastic effect on outfitters inability to get June and July dates filled throughout southern Africa during the tournament dates. Even flights after the tournament from Europe are extremely full due to the logjam of hunters and tourists.
Plus, the greedy airlines are NOT backing down on prices after the tournament. Check, and you will find ticket prices are up, 20-30%, if you can find a seat. If you are fortunate to find a seat during the tournament dates, there will be some exceptional deals that you can cut with the outfitter.

shakariIf you think the airlines are being greedy, you should see what FIFA are doing.
The've screwed all the hotels and lodges into the cheapest possible deals and are selling them at umpteen hundred percent profit....... AND then have minimum stays, so if the soccer fan wants to stay for 2 nights for example, they have to pay for 4 nights.
