GSSP6.5x46 Lapua, Pierce hunting rifle
This came just last week and I finally took some photos.
-6.5x47 Lapua
-Pierce short action which uses PTG bolt and I chose the PTG bolt knob
-McMillan Remington Sporter, Edge fill, 14" LOP, Decelerator, grey, SS studs
-Broughton #3.1, 26" SS, 5C lands, 1:8 twist
-PTG bottom metal with Rem short box, follower, spring
-Farrell custom 2-pc alum 20 MOA picatinny base and rings
-Nightforce 2.5-10x33mm with NP-R2 reticle and zero stop
-glass/pillar bedded, free floated to the action
-all metal cerakote black
-Rifle Basix trigger @ exactly 2lbs
-8lb 11 oz they way you see it
Gunsmith is Chris Matthews, Longshot Rifles, Urich, MO. He built my 1st 6.4x47 Lapua on a Surgeon 591 action, Krieger MTU barrel in an AICS stock. It's my sniper rifle and shoots LIGHTS OUT!

butchlambertI love the rifle and caliber! My only criticism is a personal dislike for a big bolt knob, but that is me.

WhatTheA good looking long range killer. Awesome cartridge. What ever unfortunate animal is lined up in your scope, could give a rats a$$ about the bolt knob! Nice rig..!

GSSPButch,
After handling my new 9.3x62 Pre 64 M70 today and it's round knob I'm leaning towards agreeing with you, so don't be surprised if I swap it out before too long.

jplVery nice, thanks for sharing pictures! So how does it shoot? Does the PTG bottom metal use the center screw on the receiver, or does it use the front and rear screws only?

JPL,
I've only shot about 7 rounds of pressure ladder/barrel shots so far. Looked promising.
Looks like front and rear screws only.
