Chuck NelsonWhat stock colour?
What colour do I paint this stock on my 7MM Mashburn?

craigsterI once saw a stock painted what the owner called oregano. It was sorta halfway between a forest green and olive drab, it looked quite nice.

D HumbargerChuck is that a McMillian Griffin & Howe style stock?

Chuck NelsonIt is a D'Arcy Echols & Co. EDGE McMillan.
I think brown just looks right with a red pad.

WoodhitsWith the red pad, I would have to agree with CAS: either brown or dark tan. The carbon fiber does look pretty cool though by itself.
I'd go with brown.
As others have said it will look great with the red recoil pad.
BTW - Very cool caliber choice!
Did you stick with standard Mashburn dimensions or go with a longer throat for getting the most out of those 175gr bullets?
Not to long ago Gene Simillion put together a 7mm Mashburn for a local guy here in NH and
he is thrilled with the rifle & caliber.
Best,
Dave

Chuck NelsonLet me guess. Bob F?
Bob and I have emailed back and forth on the cartridge quite a bit along with a few other guys.
It is throated for the 175's.
I will vote for leave it as is. I really like the carbon fiber and red pad. It's unique yet still subtle.
