butchlambertI will get more photos when it arrives. I found the $100 Banner Mauser at the local gunshop. Tig welded the rear tang screw to make it blind. I made some scope bases that David Christman tig welded on. Ed Lapour safety, I think it is a Blackburn trigger, but could be a Timney. I used a Shilen barrel. I just touched the Cring and the face of the receiver with a carbide tool. The receiver was recased. Right or wrong I cut the tenon to be .001 longer to fit the Cring and also the front of the receiver. The bottom metal is Blackburn and the receiver screws are by Duane Wiebe. The rear sight, barrel band, and front ramp sight are NECG. Jim did what it took to make it feed and had to take a cut on the scope mounts to true them. The wood came from TC1 and is a Turkish blank that was part of the group of blanks that the Scholarship rifle's stock came from. Jim arranged for some real subtle checkering. He was a great help and put up with me through the build.
I would highly recommend Jim.
Butch

butchlambertJust got it today. It is much nicer than the photos. Mr. Kobe is a damn fine gunsmith. I hope the photos will show the very small amount of very fine engraving. I will have more photos in a couple days and will start a new thread.
