Ha, two of my favourite rifles, too bad someone ground the bolt handle on the top one....see this on Brnos here quite often or, someone has DTed the bridges, especially on the 21/22 series.....sob.....
What chamberings are they in, mine are a matched pair in .30-06 in 95% original and a 9.3x62 that the stock was buggered on...a Micky Edge, Satterlee safety and Ralf Martini and presto, probably the best serious BC hunting rifle I have had and that is more than a few!
Damm good thing my old friend Austin went to Valhalla or you would own every Brno in Canada, by now!

Nope. It's a Sako L57, that's the way they came. Not D&T'd either. I did tig the hole in the bolt knob.

skba stick from Luxus, 1/4 sawn and will end up on a two piece stock for a big bore single shot.

shootawayskb,that looks like a nice blank and I hope it turns out well but only when the stock is done will you know.I've seen some before and after pics of blanks that one would never think would look good,turn out well and vice-versa.

Boss HossChuck has several of my blanks at his shop including a Macassar one (he actually is looking forward to this one)! He always pre approves of any wood that I ask him to build on. One we have had to return because of an internal flaw but if you know Chuck he is very particular about what he puts his name on…..
If you want something that is way out there then you need to find another maker which is one reason we get along so well. He does what he does to perfection period and will not compromise.
I have WAY more blanks than I will ever be able to build on but I LOVE WOOD!!!
One of my weak traits if you will----may have some put in the casket with me someday LOL!!

dwheelsFla 3006, I too am a wood nut. The three blanks posted above are all great. Something about the one in the middle, probably the pale red color, I really like. It is very different from the usual color shades and grain flow patterns. Is it Turkish, Bastogne? Thanks for letting us see them. DW

Boss HossThat one is Turkish and Very Dense and Hard.
Will post pics in a year or so when Chuck Grace finishes building it. That one is going on a Sako action----a 257 Ack Imp.
