I am currently bidding on a J&L Wilkins Mauser chambered in .404 Jeffery. Do they still make rifles? I know that their doubles have been held in high regard. This gun is reported to in 90% + condition. I hoping it flies under the radar and I can get it affordably.

The $2100 it went for I surmise was a steal. Ive since bought a really nice Whitworth .375 which will work for a while.

If it went for only $2,100 it was a steal indeed!
