Jerry LilesBeautiful. That looks like an exceptional piece of Black Walnut. Grain is subtle but handsome and it looks as dense as the best English.

lindy2lovely rifle.
can that bent handle file be purchased or does it have to be made from a straight handled one?

ForrestBReally sweet work on the trap door butt. I didn’t know you did detail work like that anymore.

bwanamrmRunning out of adjectives that define perfection when I look at your threads so I will just say that is one fine rifle!
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.

Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

Yep! Usually hide behind the door when presented with Black Walnut, but this is a darn fine piece of wood

Don't remember actually weighing it,,I suppose about 7 1/4 lbs

gasgunnerThat is a fair amount of cast-off. Was that at the customers request, or is that what you typically build into your stocks?
Great rifle, I have a soft spot for classic varmint rifles. That rifle would be right at home in my rack between a couple G&H 1922 hornets and another 1922 Hornet by Barney Worthen.
Thanks,
John

Duane Wiebe (CG&R)Typically, customer will ask for some degree of cast. This has 1/4" at toe.
Good part of my life was near San Francisco, ran across many Worthen guns...that man was way ahead of his time! Superb workmanship and style
