mscI'm confused....
Apparently the lawsuit between Rigby US and Rigby London has been rresolved with London backing off and releasing any claims to the name John Rigby and Co. The release states that Paul Roberts is the Rigby agent in the UK. Is it possible to buy a new Rigby at this point? Nowhere is Geoff Miller's name mentioned. Very confusing.

A good discussion over on the NitroX website.

PSmithWe spoke with the US based "Rigby" company at the SCI convention.
The first rifles they plan to produce were to be built on Gottfried Prechtl's Mauser action.
They said it would be about $25,000 for one in .416 Rigby.

TommyhawkI was at SCI also. I spoke with the (or one of the) Directors. My understanding is that there is no California Rigby anymore. The guns will be made in England by Paul Roberts.

mscMakes sense to use Prechtl. It's my understanding Paso Rigby magazine rifles were built on Prechtl barreled actions. Anyone have any idea how many California rifles were built? Based on what I've read Rigby had a period of about 10 years where the rifles were made in CA and now they have returned to London if Roberts is in fact going to be doing the work. A footnote in the history of Rigby.
