PeterPaul, let me know if you come across any more "OK" pieces of Bastogne! Very nice wood on both guns!

vapodogRamrod.....very pretty rifles and I'll bet they're shooters too....
However, you really need to learn to install the 3-position safeties.....

Picky Picky

There is a difference between not knowing how and simply not doing it. I have and can install a 3-position. The Bastogne stock I had first inletted about 30 years ago when I didn't know how to install one. It was my 22-250 before I reshaped and had it checkered actually by John Valicek. Since the stock was already cut for a slide I left it that way.The 308N has a darn speedlock so I elected not to jack with trying to fit one.
I actually prefer a left side FN still over a 3-position. While I'm not crazy about the MKX trigger block safety I have no major issues with them.
As to shooting they are both MKX factory barrels. Both easily group submoa but they aren't bench rest

dwheelsRamrod, the top pic of the MKX is spectacular. Not that the others are not but the wood on that one is very nice. I like subtle beauty. Not that all the others are not attractive, that one just catches my eye. Very Nice. DW
