bwanamrmVery, very nice!
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling

<Mike McGuire>Whatever that rifle cost..for me it would need to be doubled since it would have a twin brother in 300 H&H

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

ChopperGuyYeah, it's mine. Just have to get down to pick it up.
And yes, I am seriously considering a twin in 300 H&H.
Being left handed normally sucks when it comes to rifle selection. Then you meet great smiths like Jim and your gun funds drain quickly!

cmfic1Its a rifle to be proud of for sure....congrats
A 300 H+H twin would make it an awesome pair.
ChopperGuy, you have a pm

SnowwolfeChopperguy,
Very nice rifle! What is on the menu to kill with it?
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.
26 July 2010, 22:58
ChopperGuyMozambique in 2012 for Cape Buff for sure.
Plus anything else I find to hunt with it in the mean time.
Not much a hunter can't use this one for!

<Mike McGuire>Although the 458 Lott maintains the case size family.
Things have gone full circle. Roy took the H&H case to do his first calibres and H&H then took Roy's 378 to do the 465 H&H

Very nicely done.

ozhunterCertainly a great calibre if your going to the north of Moz.

Big Bore FanThe .400H&H is interesting. I have a empty case, one of the first loaded ammo. The case is without any marks on the bottom.

Bravo Mike! Just saw the photo you told me about. Well done, my good man. Well done.
You know, if Jim keeps this up, he just might make a name for himself.
